The shooting of Simbu-Anushka starrer Vaanam is in its final schedule. According to sources, Vaanam is almost 90% complete including the talkie portion. Only parts of a song remain to be shot.
Vaanam is the Tamil remake of critically acclaimed Telugu film Vedam and Simbu will don the role of Cable Raju (originally played by Allu Arjun) in the Tamil version. Anushka reprises her role from the original. The film also has Jasmine, Bharath and Vega in prominent roles. Reportedly a mass kuthu song picturised on Simbu and Anushka will be added to this movie and the script has been changed to suit the taste of Tamil audiences. The film is directed by Krish and produced by R.B. Chowdary of Super Good Movies.
Vaanam’s music launch is scheduled to take place on March 14, 2011
