Actor Vijay owes a lot to director Siddique for having broken his spell of 'not-so-successful showings' at the box-office which started way back in 2007 with 'Aadhi' and continued till 'Suraa'.  Vijay's latest flick 'Kaavalan', directed by Siddique, has been doing reasonably well at all the centres, trade sources point out.
'Kaavalan' was a  remake of the Malayalam hit 'Bodyguard' which was also directed by Siddique.  While Dileep and Nayantara played the lead pair in 'Bodyguard', Vijay paired up with Asin for 'Kaavalan'.  The success of the film both Malayalam and Tamil has inspired Siddique, who last directed Vijay in the  hit film 'Friends' almost a decade back, to make it in Hindi and Telugu as well.
The Hindi version, which would mark Siddique's debut in Bollywood as director, has been titled 'Love Story' and stars superstar Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead.  Even before the Hindi version is complete, Siddique has initiated efforts to make the film in Telugu as well.
The untitled Telugu version would star Venkatesh and Anushka in lead roles, it is learnt.  It might be recalled that a few days back, Kareena had remakred that Nayan had done a better job in the Malayalam version as compared to Asin's effort in the Tamil version.  Wonder what would she have to say about Anushka's role in the Telugu version!
